Launch of Shakespeare MFFE Playreading Packs – Part 2

Last week, we started the launch of our Shakespeare MFFE playreading / production packs. Well, the launch continues and here’s the updates from the ongoing launch:

  • First, if you missed the excitement of the launch party last week, it’s still not too late to join in the fun. Of course, it hasn’t quite the excitment of the actual party, but you can read all about it at:
PLAYERS-SHAKESPEARE.COM LAUNCHES PLAYREADING PACKS FOR SHAKESPEARE MFFE

  • After the party was over, despite our mammoth hangovers (see photo above), we worked all week-end, night and day, to bring you another three playreading packs in our MFFE edition. They are:

  • So this means we have now published 15 playreading packs. You can see them all at:
    PLAYREADING PACKS
We may slow down a little now, so don’t expect three plays a week from now on, more like one a month if you’re lucky. Still, there’s 6 comedies, 3 tragedies, and 6 histories that you can already choose from. You can see them all at the link above.

  • Nursing our hangover on Saturday morning, we worked out that it might be kind of handy if you all knew how to use these playreading packs, so we’ve written a little ‘How to’ which we hope you’ll find useful. It’s at:
HOW TO RUN A PLAYREADING USING AN MFFE PLAYREADING PACK

  • We plan to add more ‘How to’s on various aspects of Shakespeare playreadings and we’ve got a page specially for those ‘How to’s. It’s accessible directly at:
    ‘HOW TO’S ON PLAYREADINGS,
or from our Playreadings Home Page. More ‘How to’s soon!!!

So the launch party continues, and we hope to have another installment for you in the not too distant future.

One final point. We’re very excited about our Playreading Packs, but we still maintain our commitment to providing the Modern First Folio Edition for free. You can explore the plays we’ve published, read the introductions to each play, and download the actual plays from our PLAYERS-SHAKESPEARE.COM PUBLISHED PLAYS page.

Playreading Packs just make it much more convenient to distribute the play to readers, and cast the playreading. We hope playreading groups will find they ease the burden of setting up a Shakespeare playreading. Why don’t you try one now – three of them are free, and the rest are half-price until 2015.

Best wishes,

The Director
