Romeo and Juliet round-robin play-reading for 2-5 players

Play Index & Help

If you can only get a few people (2 -5)  together to do a play-reading, probably the most practical way of reading the play is to read it ‘rouond-robin’.

.

In other words, each player reads a speech in turn. The first reader reads the first speech; then the next speaker in a clockwise direction reads the next speech; and so on until all the speakers have read, and then the first speaker speaks the next speech, and so on until you’ve read the play..

.

This way of reading the play means that no player reads particular characters, but you’ll still get a good feeling for what happens in the play.

.

If you’ve got enough people to use one of our cast lists (usually for 6 or more players) you’ll probably find it more satisfactory, as each player is allocated a number of characters to read.

To do a round-tobin play-reading with  Romeo and Juliet, each player should click on the following link. When all the players have got to the script start reading:

.

Don’t forget, you can adjust the size of the script, or change the type of reading, by using the set-up options (click on the gear-wheel in the top right-hand corner of the script window). After you’ve adjusted the settings, click on the gear-wheel again to close it.
