The Merry Wives of Windsor Cast list for 6 players

This cast list provides parts for 6 players to read The Merry Wives of Windsor.  Each player selects the Player No they’ve been allocated, and can choose to download an ebook to read on an Apple iPhone or iPad in iBooks, or they can read their parts online in  Highlit text format or Parts and Cues, as they prefer.

Note that with only six players, each player will be reading more than one main part. To help distinguish which part they’re reading at any one time, it may be helpful to use different accents for each part. The following accents would suit a ‘British’ play-reading:

Sir Hugh Evans: Welsh accent
Dr Caius:             French accent
Mistress Quickly: Posh accent for gentry, working class for others (e.g. Dora Bryan)
Sir John Falstaff: Pompous knight
Host:                    Estuary / Cockney with a fancy turn of phrase.
Pistol:                  Estuary / Cockney actor
Nym:                   Estuary / Cockney
Fords & Pages:    Windsor Middle Class English.
Swallow:              Doddery Old Posh Man
Slender:                Posh, nice, but very dim.
